Condensate drains remove collected water and oil condensate from separators, filters, receivers and dryers. A blocked drain can allow condensate to carry downstream; a continuously leaking drain can waste compressed air and energy.
Drain types can include timer-controlled, float/mechanical and zero-loss electronic designs. Replacement selection can depend on inlet size, pressure range, condensate load, electrical supply and the equipment on which the drain is installed.
Send the existing drain model or part number, pressure, connection size and voltage where applicable. If the drain is integrated into a dryer or filter housing, include the equipment model and serial number.
Condensate from oil-lubricated compressed-air systems can contain oil and should be handled according to applicable environmental rules. Oil/water separation equipment may be required before disposal. Do not discharge contaminated condensate solely because it appears visually clear.
